Greek Theatre Workshop – Orestes and Electra 3rd September

We continue are exploration of Greek Theatre with a look at the dreadful and violent mythology of the ‘House of Atreus’, set around the events of the Greek war against Troy. All three of the great tragedians, Aeschylus, Euripides and Sophocles made use of the same myth of Orestes, returned from exile to aid his sister Electra to strike vengeance on their mother, Clytemnestra for the killing of their father Agamemnon.

We’ll look at how these different masters crafted the myths to their own particular style with some brilliantly dramatic script selections and monologues.

Workshop starts 7pm, cost £3/£2, All welcome, most especially beginners.
