This Wednesday 18th January, 7pm, The Casa, Hope Street, Liverpool, we look at Alexsandr Ostrovsky’s play ‘The Storm’ written in 1859. A portrait of the merchant class under Tsardom it deals with great understanding with the imprisoned condition of women in marriage in a way that is way ahead of its time.
We’ll be using extracts from the play to lead participants to come up with their own scenarios of women’s condition now in 21st century Britain.
All welcome beginner or experienced – £3/£2 – each workshop is a stand-alone session.
