This coming Wednesday we continue our series of workshops looking at the art of storytelling and ways of directing using the classic 1950 Japanese film Rashomon as our inspiration.
Rashomon tells the story of a samurai who has been killed and his wife who has been raped by a bandit. However as the different witnesses give their versions of events it becomes clear that everyone is lying and has something to hide. A study on the nature of truth and the difference between subjectivity and objectivity, we’ll be seeing how we can use such approaches for our own storytelling.
