Burjesta Theatre are holding open auditions for our Christmas Panto, an in-house adaptation of Jack and the Beanstalk on Wednesday 27th September. The audition will consist of devised group work and individual pieces as well as a short informal interview. There is no need to prepare anything for the audition and no experience is required.
There are two supporting workshops taking place at The Casa on Wednesday 6th and 13th September, both starting at 7pm, which will look at the ‘principles of panto’. Though it will be probably helpful to attend them there is no obligation to and you can just turn up for the audition if you prefer.
Rehearsals will begin at the beginning of October and run through until thestart of the shows in early December.
Production Details –
We will be performing 10 shows throughout the months of December and January. (1st show in December is 9th, last show 23rd with a week’s break over Christmas Week with shows resuming in January on 6th and finishing on 13th). They will be a combination of matinees and evenings.
The shows will be at our place of residence, The Casa, a 100-seat capacity fringe theatre venue on Hope Street in the heart of Liverpool’s theatre district.
