This week we will be looking at ‘the denouement’ or ending of a story using Shakespeare’s masterly structuring of the romantic tragedy ‘Romeo and Juliet’ as our inspiration. The trickiest element of all and coming with a thousand pitfalls getting the ending of a story right is a lot harder than we think and all too often (to its detriment) taken for granted. Hopefully by the end of the workshop we’ll be a little more attentive to the needs of a satisfactory ending in storytelling.
