New series of workshops begin this coming Wednesday 1st November, 7pm @ The Casa, Hope Street, Liverpool, £3, £2
In a series of workshops we will be examining some of the key ingredients which go into creating drama – character, environment, social relations, conflict/premise, narrative/story/structure, denouement/ending and what constitutes ‘great art’.
We’ll be covering some of the great playwrights such as Sophocles, Marlowe, Brecht, Chekhov and Lorca and great pieces of drama from Oedipus Rex to Macbeth to Glengarry Glen Ross.
We hope the workshops will be of interest to all who are interested in creating great drama, whether actors, writers or directors. Beginners are welcome.
These workshops are acting workshops based on text work with additional discussion and background context given.
Each workshop is a stand alone workshop. No need to pre-book just turn up.
