Burjesta Theatre Workshop – Creating Drama # Beginnings and Premise Wed 15th November

masks7pm @ The Casa, Hope St, L’pool, £3/£2

This week’s workshop looks at some of the greatest plays of all time and assesses how the drama is begun and how the premise of the play is revealed.

We’ll be looking at Frederico Garcia Lorca’s ‘House of Bernarda Alba’; Samuel Beckett’s ‘Waiting for Godot’; David Mamet’s ‘Glengarry Glen Ross’ and Euripides’ ‘Medea’.

We’ll then be asking participants to come up with their own beginning and premise for an ‘imagined’ play…

These workshops are acting workshops but should be of interest to anyone involved in theatre whether as an actor, director, producer or writer. Beginners are very welcome to join. Though this is a series of workshops, each session can be enjoyed as a ‘stand-alone’ session, so you can come as and when you like. And no direct debits or exorbitant prices…
